Avinas Piercing Studio
For a long time, ear piercings were relegated to the bench of alternative punk looks, but they're becoming increasingly trendy. We're discovering it on cutting-edge looks, on our favorite stars and on the catwalks, and we have to admit that the urge to adopt it for our own is growing stronger all the time. But there are still many unanswered questions, which Avinas has answered with its range of cool, chic piercings.
A piercing all right, but what are we talking about?
Helix, tragus, conch... Behind this technical jargon lie the different locations that can be pierced on your ear.
While we generally start by piercing the lobe, there are a dozen or so areas that can be pierced. The jewel you choose must therefore be compatible with the chosen area, and you also need to take into account the healing time, depending on what you wish to wear.
How do I get my piercing done?
A trip to the jeweller's or pharmacy may be possible for the lobe, but we advise you to use the services of a professional piercer for better harmony and expert advice. The professional piercer is there to answer your questions, guide you in your choice of earrings and also on the care to take with your piercing.
Avinas works with certified piercers and offers you sessions by appointment to carry out your needle piercing, in a pleasant and safe environment, right in the center of Geneva.
Where to get your first ear piercing?
Here's a description of the different points on the ear that can be pierced, and the healing times corresponding to each area. We generally start at the bottom of the ear with a double or triple lobe piercing, but the helix piercing is also one of the most frequently chosen areas.

FAQ
You can indeed come and have your ear pierced, but you'll simply need to bring your ID and be accompanied by your legal guardian, who will also need ID. If you don't have the same surname, simply bring proof of legal responsibility.
The techniques are very different: with a gun, the earring is used to pierce your ear. With a needle and earring pliers, the hole is made painlessly with the needle, and your earring is slid in once the hole has been drilled. There's no risk of tearing, as the needle ensures precise perforation.
Not quite. Depending on the location chosen for the piercing, the length of the pin may be different. Longer pins are also sometimes required to help the piercing heal. The loop must also be sterilized and made of a material to which you are not allergic. For all these reasons, we invite you to ask our piercer for advice. Please note that our range of piercing earrings has been designed with different lengths of shank to best adapt to the piercing area.
It's also possible. We offer ear cuffs, which are jewelry pieces that simply slip over the ear. It's a great way to start learning about ear piercing without going through the piercing process.
